Sequencer used : FL Studio
Effects applied :
Most channels have some level of reverb and/or chorus applied. I used FL equalizer to boost the kettle drum.
Note input : computer keyboard
Additional information :
"The ground shakes. Drums, drums in the deep. We cannot get out. A shadow moves in the dark. We cannot get out... They are coming..."
I think I totally failed to give it a medieval connotation, specially because of the ud used as a modern bass. But all my medieval attempts did not sound roguelikish... I'm more confortable with drum and bass stuff. The soundfont limitation has been pretty hard to overcome. I used lots of instruments out of their normal pitch range, like the ud used as a bass and temple bells used as cave crystal echoes in the background or strange metallic sounds in the beginning. I also modified the hurdy gurdy attack/release values to make it sound a bit like orchestral strings... The song is exactly 2'00 long. 2'30 would have been better for me since the intro is pretty long and I had to squeeze the main part of the song to fit. Fortunately, this will be fixed in the enhanced version :)
